Welcome to Rafiki Foods (“Rafiki Foods,” “we,” “us,” “our”). We operate this store and website (the “Services”) to offer you a curated shopping experience for our avocado oil products. Our store is powered by Shopify. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
1) Access & Accounts
You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to use the Services. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You’re responsible for all activity under your account.
2) Our Products (Food)
We work hard to present products accurately, but colours/appearance can vary by device. We may change or discontinue products and limit quantities at any time. No resale: purchases are for personal or household use only.
No medical claims. Our products and content are for general information only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Follow label directions and consult a professional if you have dietary concerns or allergies.
3) Orders & Cancellations
Your order is an offer to buy; we accept when payment is processed and we send a confirmation. If we can’t accept or must cancel (e.g., inventory, suspected fraud), we’ll notify you and refund as applicable. Returns and refunds are governed solely by our Refund Policy.
4) Prices, Taxes & Billing
Prices may change without notice. The price at checkout applies and excludes taxes, shipping, duties, and fees unless stated otherwise. You agree to keep your payment details current and authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your payment method for your order total, including taxes and shipping.
5) Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss
Delivery windows are estimates only. We aren’t liable for carrier delays, customs, or events outside our control. Title and risk of loss transfer to you when we hand your order to the carrier. Please inspect on delivery and contact us promptly per our Refund Policy if there’s damage or an issue.
6) Intellectual Property
All content on the Services—including text, images, graphics, logos, product names, and layouts—is owned by Rafiki Foods or our licensors and protected by law. You may not copy, distribute, or make derivative works without our prior written permission. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
7) Third-Party Tools & Links
We may provide access to third-party tools or link out to third-party sites. These are provided “as is”. Your use is at your own risk, and third-party terms apply. We aren’t responsible for third-party content or transactions.
8) Relationship with Shopify
Our store is powered by Shopify, but your purchase is with Rafiki Foods. Shopify isn’t responsible for our sales or products. You release Shopify from claims arising from your transactions with Rafiki Foods.
9) User Content & Reviews
If you submit reviews, photos, suggestions, or other content (“Feedback”), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content for operating and promoting the Services. You confirm you have the rights to what you submit and that it complies with the law and these Terms. We may moderate or remove content at our discretion.
10) Prohibited Uses
Don’t use the Services for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, infringing, harassing, or disruptive activity; don’t upload malware; don’t scrape or circumvent security; don’t misrepresent your identity; don’t interfere with others’ use.
11) Warranty Disclaimer
Except as required by law or expressly stated in writing by us, the Services and products are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind (including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement). Your use is at your own risk.
12) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rafiki Foods (and our directors, employees, partners, and providers) won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages (including lost profits, data, or goodwill). Our total liability for any claim related to the Services or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits; your rights may vary.
13) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rafiki Foods (and our personnel and partners) from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and fees arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. We’ll post changes here (and provide additional notice where legally required). Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15) Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and Rafiki Foods agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.
16) Miscellaneous
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver. You can’t assign your rights without our consent; we may assign ours. These Terms (plus policies linked here) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
